Invest in Opportunities.

Since 1990, the Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF) has succeeded by delivering needed educational tools to students and teachers in all county schools. Core to the BCEF is the mini-grant program, typically funding more than 30 mini-grants each school year. BCEF is run by an all-volunteer staff with no paid employees. 100% of all donations go to the Blount County Schools. What that means is that every penny of your donated money goes to help students.

12,000 Students Need Your Help…. Now More Than Ever.

Students in the Blount County School System are facing even greater needs in these uncertain economic times. The school system is being asked to do more with less. Families and teachers are hard pressed to meet the needs of the children. Donations to the BCEF support a variety of programs in the Blount County School System including those below. Benefits extend beyond the students, classrooms and schools. Indeed, there are many benefits to donors as well.

A BCEF cornerstone puts educational programs into classrooms that otherwise wouldn’t be available. Over the past two decades, The Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF) has provided funding for computers, projectors, SMART Boards and Promethean Boards, document cameras, scientific and math calculators, supplemental classroom materials, science lab equipment, art and music education materials, etc. Last school year, BCEF funded $100,000 in mini-grants in our twenty-one schools!
